The new Ribble Endurance SL is a superlight road platform designed for Endurance riding and racing. Whether its your favourite or nemesis ride, you visualise it in your head the night before, you know the roads like the back of your hand, every corner, climb and descent it’s as if you were there already….then press start, click in, change down, your off, the anticipation as you glide out of town and onto the rolling roads up to the foot of the first climb.
The head wind doesn’t bother you “tail wind home you say to yourself”. As the climb draws near your conserving energy ready to hit it hard to beat that PB or take the KOM, the climb rolls on and you pass a few riders in their own moment of pain and ecstasy, the gradient steepens but your feeling good, 100m to go that final push out of the saddle and the PB is yours, you’re the King of this Mountain.
Then focus your mind for the rewarding descent, the spoils for your effort unfolds in front of you, swooping down it’s as if you’re on rails, the swish of the tyres and the sound of the wind, at one with the machine.
Then the road opens up, your back on the rolling roads with more climbs and technical descents to come but there covered with poise and grace. The miles count down until you see the sign for home, one last push you change down 2 gears wind up the pace, down 2 more gears and you’re out of the saddle sprinting for the finish, you cross the line, your home, exhilarated with a sense of accomplishment….

With its impeccable performance, versatility and a multitude of wheel, component and finishing kit options the Endurance SL and SL R Series can be fine-tuned for all riders of all levels of experience and ability.
The serious racer whether Elite or local hero will appreciate the frames stiffness and power transfer. The built in aerodynamic tech, builds tipping the scales below the UCI weight limit and disc and caliper brake options mean the Endurance SL platform offers a performance advantage in all race situations.
The Endurance rider will benefit from the race bike attributes designed into the frame and will also see gain from the comfort enhancing and fatigue reducing features ensuring that they can go further, higher and quicker whether all day Epic or Weekend Gran Fondo.
Fitness and Leisure riders can experience the feeling you only get from a high end race bike but with the geometry and fit required to achieve an comfortable and efficient riding position. The platforms comfort, stability, handling and braking performance will inspire confidence making the Endurance SL the perfect partner as you develop you riding ability. Ride further, comfortably with less fatigue, make light work of hills, as you progress to experience longer rides over more challenging terrain.
The SL frameset is manufactured from a carefully selected blend of Toray’s T1000 and T800 carbon layered to an exacting specification using an advanced monocoque mould technology incorporating an EPS inner core system which ensures complete consistency of the structural integrity of the fibres and resin throughout the frame. This system also eliminates excess material on the inside of the frame.
Aerodynamics have been a major consideration in the development of the new Endurance SL with the new frameset generating up to 28.5% less drag compared to the previous generation.
Aerodynamic drag saving features include,
1, Truncated aerofoil down tube

3, Truncated aerofoil seat tube and seat post
4, Internal cable routing
5, Optional aero one piece cockpit enabling all cables to be routed internally and away from the airflow generating over 40% less drag compared to a conventional bar and stem set up (disc brake version has all cables completely hidden and caliper brake just the front brake cable).
Power transfer and torsional stiffness have been taken into account through the tapered downtube, oversize BB area and box section chainstays ensuring that your power wattage is efficiently transferred to forward motion. The tapered fork steerer, oversize headtube area and fork profile ensure that front end stiffness is taken care for out of the saddle efforts.
Comfort through road surface impact and vibration absorption is very important in an Endurance bike and the specific shapes and profiles of the seat stays, seat post and carbon cockpit ensure that the Endurance SL is smooth and comfortable over rough road surfaces and long distances.
The SL frameset has discrete mudguard mounts and tyre clearances for up to 30c tyres ensuring that the Endurance SL can be ridden in all season and weather conditions.

The SL R Series frameset takes all of this technology and development a step further by using more T1000 and higher grade carbon in the construction and replacing the alloy headtube and BB inserts with carbon parts. The SL R Series also uses a special paint finish further minimising weight and saving a total of approx. 300g vs the standard SL frameset making it ideal for the discerning rider looking for the ultimate in Endurance and versatile race bike performance.
