Ribble Endurance SL R-Series Frameset

From: $2,644.22
An image of the Ribble Endurance SL R-Series Frameset

The SL R Series frameset is manufactured from a carefully selected blend of Toray’s carbon using more of the T1000 grade than the standard SL and layered to an exacting specification to reduce weight without compromising stiffness and strength. The frame is crafted using advanced monocoque mould technology incorporating an EPS inner core system which ensures complete consistency of the structural integrity of the fibres and resin throughout the frame. This system also eliminates excess material on the inside of the frame.

Unfortunately I had to replace my Sportive Racing due to an accident and having a positive experience with Ribble it made sense to stick with a brand that I knew and that had a good reputation. I bought the SLR last October and had to return the bike twice. 1 due to a manufacturing fault and the other due to the workmanship not meeting the standard that I expect. However I can't fault Ribble customer services, they were great. Now that I have done close to 1000 miles I can now give a real review of the bike. I'm no spring chicken however I've been getting PB's on nearly every ride I do. This bike is "QUICK" and power transfer is on point. I went for the rim brake model and with a Sram Force mechanical groupset and a mid range set of carbon wheels, the bike has come in at 7.26kg light enough for those long climbs and the aero implementation in the frame build means it descends just as QUICK. I have no problem hitting 80 kph on a decent and I totally trust the bike to do what tell it to (added security of Conti GP5000). Having the level 5 carbon cockpit makes for a thing of real beauty and all under £3000. Ribble cannot be beaten on price and you get more than you pay for. This bike definitely punches above its weight in all categories. Would I buy a different brand? yes if I had £10,000 spare but wouldn't we all. The only thing I would change is the paint, I wish I went for a gloss or custom finish, otherwise I couldn't ask for anything more
