RIDE IT ALL WITH STYLE

Versatility is at the core of the CGR range and this titanium model certainly ticks all of the boxes. Less aggressive than a racer, the endurance geometry of the CGR Ti makes this bike comfortable, composed, responsive and ready for any ride.

Three expertly selected builds, with every detail carefully thought through, highlight the variety of riding that the CGR Ti can treat you to. We promise that this bike is going to be a lot of fun.

Classic bright brushed finish with polished chrome detailing just add to the charm of this quick, versatile and capable bike. The CGR Ti is your one bike that does it all.

PERFECT LOADED OR LIGHT

With discreet mounts for full mudguards and a rear rack the CGR Ti is ready for duty around town with your commuter case or up country with loaded panniers, but that’s not where the versatility of this bike stops.

Contained beneath the sleek lines of the titanium frame and carbon fork are wide tyre clearances (for up to 47mm width tyres) that allow your CGR Ti to do whatever you want it to from exploring forest trails and gravel right through to being your weekend best, road trip or big sportive bike.

Reliable hydraulic disc brakes do the stopping and mean that the CGR Ti can be set up for multiple uses with a simple swap of tyres or wheelset.

“The flat mount hydraulic disc brakes are perfect for this all-surface bike and are made all the more impressive when combined with the 12mm thru-axle wheels,” says Burrow.

DURABILITY & COMFORT

Our titanium CGR is hand built in the traditional way by frame building craftsmen, but it has also been designed to be compatible with all the recent advances including electronic shifting, internal cable routing and hydraulic braking. The bikes are hand assembled to your chosen specification in our UK workshop.

The seamless, triple-butted (3AI/2.5V) titanium tube set selected is a naturally compliant frame material which absorbs vibrations well and also offers great performance and longevity. The ovalized top tube of the CGR Ti adds to the frame’s horizontal stiffness for performance and the vertical compliance for outstanding comfort.

The slacker tube angles of the CGR Ti not only provide greater comfort over a race bike, but also keep the rider more centred and better balanced for endurance riding. The tube lengths and angles of the CGR Ti have been carefully chosen to offer the optimal balance for quick handling given the wide tyre and wheel options.

Finishing touches like the classic polished chrome finish head badge just add to the charm of this quick and capable bike with timeless and traditional lines.

CGR Ti FAQs

  • Q: How much does the CGR Ti weigh?
A: The grade 9 (3AI/2.5V) titanium frame weighs 1.72kg and the carbon fork 480g (+/-5g).
  • Q: What is the warranty of the frame?
A: The frame has a five-year warranty against manufacturing defects. All other parts have the manufacturer’s standard warranty.
  • Q: What is the maximum width of tyre that can be fitted to the CGR Ti?
A: Without full mudguards the CGR Ti can accommodate tyres up to 45mm width or 42mm if fitted with full mudguards (700c wheels). Wider tyres are particular suitable if you want to ride over rougher roads or gravel and with 650b wheels there is room for 47mm wide tyres.
  • Q: What type of riding is it best suited for?
A: The CGR Ti is designed to be extremely versatile so is ideal for fast commuting, bike touring or bikepacking, gravel riding and all forms of road riding. The sporty, endurance geometry allows you to achieve a perfect position to get where you want to.
  • Q: How many bottle cage mounts are there on the CGR Ti?
A: The CGR Ti has two pairs of bottle cage drillings so is able to carry two bidons (or bottles).
  • Q: What is the difference between cable and hydraulic disc brakes?
The main difference is efficiency. Even though mechanical disc brakes will be better than rim brakes (especially in the wet), they simply can’t match the efficiency of hydraulic systems.

Mechanical disc systems have the same problems as rim systems, fundamentally cable friction or compression in the housing, which means that the force applied at the lever will be greater than the resulting force at the calliper. But that’s not the really smart part.

To put it simply, the best bit is that a hydraulic system multiplies the effort put in at the lever so the actual braking force is greater than the force applied by you. This is why hydraulic brakes on bikes give such excellent performance for comparatively little effort, you get so much feel at the lever, and can modulate your braking far more effectively.

In practice, the lever feels so light that you can basically brake using your little finger, and you have far more control over how much braking force you want to apply. One other bonus of the hydraulic system is that it’s sealed which means that it should need very little maintenance once setup other than bleeding.
  • Q: How much is the CGR Ti able to carry on a rear fitted pannier rack?
A: The CGR Ti is capable of carrying up to 20kg on a traditional pannier rack.
  • Q: What is the maximum rider weight for the CGR Ti?
    A: 120kg.
  • Q: Does the bike come with pedals?
A: No, pedals are a personal choice. We do however offer a wide range of pedals to be bought separately to suit all preferences.
