Your Bike. Your Way

The CGR SL frameset is manufactured from a carefully selected blend of Toray’s T1000 and T800 carbon. Layered to an exacting specification using an advanced monocoque mould technology incorporating an EPS inner core system which ensures complete consistency of the structural integrity of the fibres and resin throughout the frame.

This system also eliminates excess material on the inside of the frame. The profiles and shapes designed into the frame are all there for a specific performance reason, from the truncated aerofoil down tube enhancing aerodynamic advantage and torsional stiffness to the seat stays designed for vertical compliance and vibration absorption. This frame is the epitome of design and attention to detail.

My first road / gravel bike from Ribble and I am very pleased with the quality of the product, aesthetics, the build and customer service that came along with it. Very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to purchase from Ribble again.
Waited patiently for my CGR SL (bike to work scheme) as wanted to use a UK company. Wasn't sure on 650B or 700c wheels but after a quick chat went with the 700's for better road speed, but still keeping off road ability. Can always add second wheel set.

Easy 'build'. Just put the handle bars on pretty much. First ride. It feels punchy over English gravel (MUD) and does absorb some of the shock. Hit 68km/h on the road as the discs feel super effective on steep descents. Threw it down some admittedly terrifying off road sections it had no right to get down and, with some management, got down in one piece!

Look fast, go fast. Certainly pretty and wouldnt look out of place in the peloton. All in all, does road, does mud, does enough trail to scare me and didnt get dropped riding with road bikes.

Front light ordered with the bike got me home in pitch black off road. Rear light could be brighter on the road though.

It’s rare to get back from an event and to think that there’s nothing you’d change about your set-up but I can honestly say, if I were to return to South Africa for the 2020 Rainmaker RollerCoaster, there’s nothing I’d tweak.
