The CGR SL frameset is manufactured from a carefully selected blend of Toray’s T1000 and T800 carbon. Layered to an exacting specification using an advanced monocoque mould technology incorporating an EPS inner core system which ensures complete consistency of the structural integrity of the fibres and resin throughout the frame.
This system also eliminates excess material on the inside of the frame. The profiles and shapes designed into the frame are all there for a specific performance reason, from the truncated aerofoil down tube enhancing aerodynamic advantage and torsional stiffness to the seat stays designed for vertical compliance and vibration absorption. This frame is the epitome of design and attention to detail.

First ride out on a cold, damp Saturday morning felt great! Full 105 made it easy to get up the hills. Tyres gave plenty of grip; and the brakes! Wow, had to feather them compared to previous bike!
The only thing holding me back was my freezing toes, so can't wait to let loose properly when I have overshoes or it warms up a little!
Ribble were great start to finish!

If you want a versatile bike that can do it all - and you want it your way - then the CGR SL is an easy choice. The hard part is deciding which build to go with

It’s rare to get back from an event and to think that there’s nothing you’d change about your set-up but I can honestly say, if I were to return to South Africa for the 2020 Rainmaker RollerCoaster, there’s nothing I’d tweak.
The internally routed full monocoque Toray T800/T1000 frame weighs 1.15kgs and the full monocoque carbon forks 450g. Full builds can start from as little as 7.5kgs, a 105 build with default finishing kit weighs in at approximately 9kgs.
The frame carries a 3 year warranty. All other parts have the standard manufacturer's warranty.
The CGR SL has ample clearance for 45mm tyres on the 700c wheels (40mm with full coverage mudguards fitted) and 47mm on the 650b version.
There are 2 bottle cage mounts, seat tube and down tube.
We recommend a maximum rider weight of 120kgs (264lbs).
Yes, though the frame requires an optional bridge to be selected from the bike builder section when ordering the bike (700c only).
The BB shell is a 68mm BSA threaded.
The seatpost is specific to the CGR SL and is supplied with the frameset.
The CGR SL has mounts for a rear pannier rack and can accommodate 20kgs of luggage with ease.
The CGR SL is only compatible with hubs that have a Thru-Axle system, the front hub is 12x100mm and the rear 12x142mm.
Due to the many different systems people use we do not supply pedals with bikes but you can find a great array of pedals here.
