I had my first short ride on the Adventure 725 yesterday and I'm glad to say, was mightily impressed. The ride was mostly on tarmac, but a couple of excursions onto gravel and the bike felt invincible. It was bought for a bikepacking trip to Spain next year, which will be self supported. The Adventure 725 will fit the bill to perfection. Lots of mounts at the back and the front, so carrying our gear will not be a problem. As a road bike user, the loop bars were different to say the least. However, they will give me lots of room for a bar bag and more. The gearing is definitely designed for off road, as I was in danger of spinning out on a downhill. But that's it isn't it. It is designed for off road and the lowest gear should be low enough.
The build is awesome and I consider this incredible value at £1200. Buy one if you want to go on an adventure!

I’ve had the bike out for a couple of rides and love it. The bike and service were as advertised. The bike was set up and shipped quickly after I purchased it. There were only a few problems; rear tire not seated straight, missing stem washer and needed to adjust the front derailleur. All very minor. I look forward to many adventures in the future in this great bike.
